Why Support Aim High

INSPIRING TOMORROW'S WORKFORCE

The Aim High Sporting Clay Shoot is one of many events Junior Achievement hosts every year to raise money to support our programs. JA’s proven lessons in financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship are shown to positively impact the lives of students.

"As a Senior Project Manager, I'm aware of the everyday challenges faced by both employers and employees. Serving as a JA Board Member and volunteer, I also see firsthand how JA supports students from K-12 through programs centered on leadership, financial literacy, work readiness, entrepreneurship and more, empowering them with the tools they need to succeed.”

Scott Lewis, JA Board Member

WHO BENEFITS FROM AIM HIGH?

Junior Achievement’s focus is on increasing participation in schools and especially high populations of economically disadvantaged students. Reaching out to schools with this specific target population helps students gain a new vision of how they can improve their lives with a sound financial future and solid career path.

As a volunteer and business professional, I believe by instilling the knowledge as early as kindergarten and continuing through 12th grade that JA can help prevent students from dropping out of high school. To be truly prepared for the challenges of our national and global economies, students need practical life skills, job readiness, financial literacy and positive role models who can help them understand what it takes to achieve their dreams or even begin to dream in the first place.
